About Kevlar® and other Aramid fibers.
Kevlar® and Twaron® are the most well known of the man made, aramid fibers. Aramids have a high tensile strength, almost no stretch and a high resistance to heat. They are also cut resistant. They do not have very good resistance to UV rays however, which is why we jacket our aramid fiber with
Polyester. Below are additional specifications for Aramids. This information is to be used as a guide only, since many factors contribute to a rope's actual performance.
