We have been expanding our offering, and one area we are targeting is the do-it-yourselfers. With this in mind we have created a DIY bungee kit, which provides you with all the hardware and materials needed to create bungee hooks to the length you need. Additionally you will be using our high quality bungee made with all 1st quality latex rubber, and a durable polyester jacket for longer life.
While some customers may be familiar with the construction of a bungee cord, most people probably havn’t considered it. In order to educate our customer and help them properly construct their bungee cord’s with hooks, we have created a short DIY guide.
As you can see, assembling these could not be more straight forward. You are also provided with over twice the hog rings required to assemble, meaning you can resize or remake the bungee hooks as you need.
It’s always interesting looking around the web to see what creative things others are doing with rope and bungee.
Look at this imaginative storage unit someone put together with some lengths of bungee cord. Anyone with kids knows that there is no bucket big enough to contain their stuffed animals, so I feel that this bungee “cage” is a hilariously appropriate solution.
Don’t feel you could build something like this from scratch? Maybe you could repurpose an old dresser or shelving unit. A few strips of wood, a drill, bungee cord, and a few screws are all that you would need to repurpose that old furniture into a similar storage solution.

Paracord, aka parachute cord or 550 cord, is used as a general purpose utility cord. It was originally used as the parachute line used during World War 2. Once in the field, Paratroopers found that their paracord could be re purposed for numerous applications. They would find ways to carry extra paracord with them due to how useful it was, be it as a bracelet or by replacing their shoelaces.
Nowadays paracord or 550 cord is sometimes used to reference a general utility cord, not necessarily having the above mentioned characteristics. A true 550 cord is a nylon sheath with a number (usually 7) of twisted nylon strands in the center, 550 lb break, and usually 5/32” in diameter. Rest assured our paracord is the real deal.
We will be occasionally revisiting the discussion on paracord and looking deeper into its various utility uses, as well as some craft projects you can take on to always have some handy. You will be amazed at how versatile such a small cord can be.

Sometimes you need a rope that stretches very little, or not at all. In those cases, we have 2 options for you.
The first is our polyester rope which we have in sizes from 1/8″ up to 3/8″. We provide it in different colors in the smaller sizes. This rope will stretch very little.
The other option is our Kevlar® rope which has a polyester jacket. Since Kevlar breaks down faster than polyester when used outdoors, we have jacketed the Kevlar with polyester fibers to make it last longer. This rope is virtually no stretch and also very strong. We carry this rope in a 3/32″, a 1/4″ and 5/16″. We’ll be adding a 3/16″ size soon.
Either rope you choose will be shipped out to you within 3 days of the date of purchase. Normally we ship the next day or the day after, but we ask for 3 days since, well…stuff happens.
Polyester rope, which is still sometimes called by duPont’s trade name Dacron®, is a popular choice for many uses. Polyester fiber has excellent resistance to UV and also has high abrasion resistance. One thing that distinguishes polyester rope from the more popular nylon rope, is that polyester stretches very little during use. This makes it the perfect choice for guy lines, tents and any other time you need to have a line that stays taut and and doesn’t stretch.
We know that black Dacron is very popular in a 3/16 size for use as guy lines and we have a product that fits the bill perfectly. It’s our black, 100 percent polyester cord in various lengths from 100 ft up to 3000 ft. As always, we have discounts on volume purchases starting at 2 each.
Cotton rope is still a popular all around rope, even with the rise in use of synthetic ropes such as nylon and polypropylene.
The 2 most popular sizes of cotton rope are 1/4″ and 3/8″, which we carry here at Quality Nylon Rope in various lengths.
One thing we need to caution you on is purchasing our cotton rope for use as toys for your pet or bird. Our cotton rope is a blend of cotton and polyester fibers and is not recommended for use with animals who may swallow any portion of the rope.
Our cotton rope is great for all other uses!

Nylon Rope is the most popular synthetic rope in use today.
The reason is that nylon has a higher break than the other popular choices and it has excellent UV resistance which is why it’s widely used for outdoor applications including for boats, flagpoles, hauling, etc.
It also has very good abrasion resistance which make it a good choice for use where the jacket comes in contact with a hard surface. It should not be used for instances where you need a non stretch rope such as tents, trotline, etc.
Nylon rope is a great choice for almost any demanding use you can think of and Quality Nylon Rope offers all standard sizes of nylon rope including some red nylon and blue nylon.
Twine is a small sized cord. It can be any fiber from hemp to nylon and is used for anything where things need to be bound or secured but a big break strength isn’t needed.
For a long lasting twine, it’s best to use either a nylon or polyester fiber since both these synthetic fibers stand up well to UV and have great abrasion resistance.
At Quality Nylon Rope we have 2 sizes of twine available, both made of premium polyester fiber. 1 is a #2.25 / 1.8mm Twine and the other is a 3/32″ / 2.4mm Twine.
